I was contacted by the people at Foreo a while back to see if I was interested in trying out the Foreo Luna. I was a bit skeptical because prior to being contacted by them, I had not really heard that much of the brand. Skin care is a very serious business for me, I'm very picky when it comes to things that come in contact with my skin but after doing some online research, I decided to give the brand a try. I received the Luna roughly about one month ago and it is currently a permanent part of cleansing routine.
Foreo is a swedish brand that has a range of handheld silicone cleansing devices that promise to leave your skin 6 times cleaner than by washing by hand. The Foreo company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden and their mission is "Beauty Beyond Cosmetics".
The Luna is a small handheld device that is completely covered with silicone which is perfect for products like this. Silicone is bacteria resistant so you don't have worry about constantly changing brushes like I do with my Clarisonic Mia. It is a facial cleansing brush that comes with tiny noodles that are soft and non abrasive. When fully charged, you can get about 450 uses out of this bad boy before you need to charge again. It is very light weight and cleanses gently. Since this is not device with a brush that rotates, you get pulsations instead of brush speed, you can reduce or increase the vibrations you get with the Minus and plus buttons at the bottom of the device. It comes with an anti aging mode which according to the company helps reduce the appearance of wrinkle and fine lines. To turn it on, all you have to do is press the big ol button at the bottom of the device.
Like I mentioned earlier this device has become a permanent part of my routine. I haven't been using my Clarisonic mia which I reviewed a while back on this blog any more because of how difficult it is to maintain. It is recommended that you change the Mia brush head every few months because of bacteria and believe me guys I still do not know anyone or anyplace that sells them in this country and its not even like they come cheap. The luna I've been using a lot but not everyday, I use it on days that I wear liquid foundations which is about once or twice or even three times a week but not everyday. Like I've mentioned in previous posts and in my foundation routine video, liquid foundations tend to break me out and it has a lot to do with some of the open pores that I have on my face due to a bad acne experience, so they tend to sink into those pores and cause breakouts . I love using the luna on days that I have worn liquid foundation because of its ability to cleanse deeply so it is quite effective in getting off every atom foundation that I've left over after normal cleansing. It leaves my skin feeling deeply cleansed (the type of feeling that you don't usually get with normal soap and water) and super soft.
To use the Luna, I make sure to take my makeup off first. Once I'm done taking my makeup off I just go in with the luna and my cleanser and concentrate on my T zone which is the area that I'm most likely to break out and I just go back and forth with it in that area for about 2 minutes. Like I said before It is very light weight and not as heavy as the clarisonic which is really the only cleansing device that I own to compare it to. I bought the clarisonic mia for about £130 pounds 3 years ago but this sells for about £145 so it is slightly more expensive but definitely worth it if you are willing to invest in it.
The Luna is waterproof so there is no need to panic if it accidentally falls into a bucket of water, you can also use it in the shower.

I called Funke of Gifty's daughter a while back, on that blessed morning I was feeling one kind. Everything that I had on my table or in my purse just looked annoying and I was like biko I need to hook up with something new, ya'll are beginning to look boring. So I called up Funke and I was like please do you have anything exciting? she mentioned a few things, including the Dip brow but Dip brow was all I heard. She had only chocolate and ebony left so I decided to go with chocolate.
For those of you who are not familiar with the Anastasia dip brow pomade, it is a gel based product created by the popular brow guru Anastasia Beverly Hills for filling in the brows.
It is currently my go to brow product at the moment. It is very pigmented and easy to apply once you get the hang of it. I believe that the shade chocolate is perfect for me, not too light or too dark, very build able, you can use it to lightly fill in your brows or create something fierce and very defined.
I just go in with the Sigma E45 angled brush and I use gentle strokes to fill each brow in, believe me guys a little goes a long way. It is very creamy, creamier than any gel liner that I've ever used and that makes application super easy.
My favorite thing about this product is the way it sets. Prior to purchase I heard a lot of people saying that it sets really fast and that kind of worried me because the last thing I wanted was a product
that set during application. It does set quickly but not too quickly you have enough time to blend the product as well as you want. Once it sets, no involuntary swipe would take it off. It sets matte and it does not fade. I have very oily skin so imagine my shock when I came back 4 hours after I had applied it to discover that my brows were not even shiny! I was like first in HISTORY! It is smudge proof and water proof and also has a very natural finish. It can also be used as a gel liner.
Product: Ananstasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow - Chocolate
Purchased form: Gifty's Daughter
Price: I purchased this a while back for about N5,500 but it is currently sold for N8,500 can also be purchased from mymakeup.info

I've had the Sleek glisten me liquid illuminator in Goddess for years. I remember using it religiously when I first got it, I couldn't get past the gorgeous glow that it gave me. A few years later, my skin started acting up so I stopped using it, together with a lot of other things. I recently managed to get my hands on the Shade Empress and after playing around with the two of them these past couple of days, I'm hooked, again!
Empress: I skipped Empress when I purchased Goddess because I felt that It wouldn't look good on my skin tone. It has a very peachy-beige undertone and would definitely work better on people with lighter skin tones but that doesn't mean that you can't make it work if you are olive to dark skinned. On dark skin, it appears a bit cool, it highlights beautifully but it doesn't give the warm sun kissed glow that most highlighters targeted for people with warmer skin tone gives, the finish that you get with is almost metallic.
Goddess: This is gorgeous golden-bronze highlighter and is perfect for people with darker skin tones. It warms up the skin beautifully and gives you the perfect sun kissed glow when applied right. This to me is like a liquid version of Mac's gold deposit and my favorite of the two.
Packaging: They both come in a frosted transparent bottle with a matte black cap. There is a Plastic spatula attached inside each cap and that to me makes application and dispensing very easy.
Application: To apply I just dip the spatula once into the bottle and then transfer the product to the highest point of my cheekbones or on any other area that I'd like to highlight then I go in with my fingers and I use them to blend the product in. On days that I want a bit more control I apply the product first on the back of my hands then go in with my fingers for more precise placement. For an overall glow you can add just a little bit to your foundation before application and you'd be surprised at the type of subtle effect that it gives.
Finish: They both a have a very powdery finish which I think is perfect. They are a bit thick and very creamy which makes blending much easier.

These two beauty queens are the only things that I managed to get my hands on in the whole Rihanna for Mac madness (eehhm, that is excluding the #36 lashes). Like look at the two of them, they could easily contest for Miss Nigeria and win! they are both fine like that. I've never owned anything from any mac limited collection, I always carry last so I made it my business to hunt these two down and boy am I glad I did.

The Viva Glam Rihanna collection consists of Just a lipstick and a tinted lip glass.
Viva Glam Rihanna Lip Glass - Strawberry Red with lots of shimmer. The formula is a bit thick, the good type of thick. Application is super easy and it also layers well. It can be worn alone but when paired with the Viva glam Lipstick, you get something that I don't really have words for.
Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick: Neutral red with a frost finish. This is my first Mac lipstick with a frost finish and It goes on smooth. It is super pigmented and applies like a dream.
Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick and Lipglass: This is what they both look like paired together, Gorgeous! This is how I will probably always wear them. With these bad boys, you can probably go about three hours without touch up. They are both limited edition, so try and grab them before they disappear.

Angel Best is an Amazon third party seller that sells mostly gadget accessories and jewelry. They had good ratings and offered international shipping to Nigeria so I decided to order a couple of cases from them. I ordered about eleven items from them, about nine iPhone cases and two iPad mini cases. The iPhone cases were really cheap, their prices ranged from $1 to $4.65 and the iPad mini cases sold for $19.99 each.
SHIPPING:
Shipping cost me about $43.
I felt that it was a little steep but I didn't really mind because I was splitting the bill with my sister. We had a lot of things in the order and in situations like this, the seller tends to charge you depending on how much they think the order might weigh. After I received an email confirming that my order had been shipped, I realized from the details that I was given that my order was shipped from Singapore (that was probably the reason for the slightly pricey shipping).
The order was delivered on the first day of estimated delivery, It was nicely packed in a bubble envelope and nothing was missing or damaged.

I'm on a serious oil collecting business. I've been buying them as I see and Rosemary oil was not to be left behind. I decided to to add Rosemary oil to my collection because I've been hearing of its numerous hair benefits. My hair is currently giving me unbearable headache and one of these days, I might just hack everything off with a scissors.
Rosemary oil is an essential oil which is very popular for its wide array of health benefits. It smells very similar to tea tree oil in my opinion, it is anti bacterial and perfect for treating some skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis and acne. I personally decided to go for it because of its ability to stimulate hair growth. When massaged into the scalp, rosemary oil increases blood circulation which induces hair growth. I just recently started using it on my scalp and its been good so far.
Its is light weight and absorbs quite easily into the skin. Its is not too thick or greasy so it is very easy to work with.
Like I mentioned earlier, rosemary oil is an essential oil and like most essential oils, it is recommended that you dilute it with a carrier oil like coconut oil or olive oil prior to use.
Natural Nigerian has a huge selection of essential and carrier oils and a lot of other natural skin and hair care products. I love the fact that it comes in a dripper bottle which makes it very easy to dispense.

Adere - Pink with blue undertones
Erewai - Bright peachy pink
Takure - Dark prurple
I've been gradually adding to my lip liner collection and I've learnt with time that lip liners are one of those essentials that you don't have to spend a hand and foot on. I've been going mostly for the very affordable ones of late and I don't think I'm ever going back.
I fell in love with the House of Tara lip liners after I got my hands on Osomote. Osomote which is a very dark purple is still and will always remain one of my favorite lip pencils for lining my purple and pink lipsticks. I got my hands on these three bad boys on the day of the House of Tara store launch.
I instantly fell in love with Takure and paid for it immediately. Erewai and Adere I received as I was minding my own business, lol.

These liners are amazing. They apply smoothly and have amazing color pay off and lets not forget the fact that they are very affordable. They come in black pencils that look very similar to the pencil that my Mac Feline eye kohl comes in and the pencils remain black even after you've sharpened them.

I remember buying my first sleek eye dust years ago. I was trying out loose eyeshadows at the time so I decided to try their eye dust in Inferno. I remember swatching it for the first time and going Hia! As clueless as I was, I knew immediately that something was wrong, I just didn't know what it was. It didn't look or apply like most of my other loose eyeshadows so I kept wondering if water accidentally entered it or something.
I recently got their eye dust in Ooh baby and by just staring at the jar, I knew that it would look and apply just like inferno. As I type this, the makeup junkie that I am is currently in love.
The sleek eye dusts are not your regular loose shadows or pigments. Like I literally had to go and dig out my Inferno from where I had buried it. The shimmery ones which are the only type that I own all have a metallic finish and once I realized that, everything thing kind of made sense. Their particles are slightly larger than the particles that you'd get in your regular pigments. They are very soft and blend into the skin once you rub them in, that is if you decide to use your fingers for application. If you are going to be using a brush, I strongly recommend that you don't take this shadow past your lid. Before application, make sure you use a very good base so as to give the shadow something to stick to. When applying I strongly suggest you try and pack the color on with gentle patting motions, do not swipe! that will just take messy to a whole new level.
This is a loose shadow so there will most likely be fall outs. To control or prevent the amount of fall outs you get I recommend you apply your eye makeup first before moving on to the face. If you decide to apply makeup on your face first, then I recommend you use translucent powder or shadow shields to catch the fall outs that will ensue, lol.

Angel Minaro is a skin care brand that specializes in age defying body care products. Their products are made with very exotic ingredients and they aim to give you a spa experience in the comfort of your own home. Some of their active ingredients are things that Chidimma has never heard of before, I usually read them out with a smile on my face because God forbid that I have nothing to contribute when things like Amla, Brahmi, Passion fruit, Cranberry, Adzuki and Almond pop up in a beauty related conversation, lol. The ingredients that I've just mentioned are a few of the things that they have in the products I own.
I've been using the Renewing Pineapple & Papaya makeup remover for a while now and It feels more like a toner to me so I mostly use it on days that I don't have that much on my face. It is oil free and very gentle so I would not recommend this for days when you are in a hurry to get everything off and go to bed. If you decide to use this everyday especially after you've worn a full face of makeup, I'd recommend you use something else to clean off your eye makeup, to save time. It does remove makeup, but you will have to be patient with it especially if you decide to use it on the eye area. To use this I just saturate a cotton ball with it and then go on ahead to gently wipe my makeup off. It does not quickly break down makeup like most eye makeup removers do but it gets the job done.
One of my favorite things about Angel Minaro products is that their produts always smell like whatever active ingredients that they have in them. Like I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm not very good with scents but the Pineapple and Papaya (Paw Paw) just hits you immediately you lift the cap.

I received this beauty in the massive sleek goody bag that I talked about in a previous post. You guys know the bag naa. Sleek studio Nigeria gave away some goody bags sometime in February to a lot of beauty bloggers and makeup artists. Like I mentioned in that post, I was going to dissect the items in that bag one at a time, lol.
The sleek studio Signature Face Kit in dawn is a palette that contains a combination of eye products, lip products and face products. The pallet comes with three eyeshadows, one blush, two lip colors and one face powder that could easily be used as a bronzer. I actually thought that it came with four shadows but I realized immediately after reading the contents at the back of the palette that the pink color on the the top right hand side of the palette was a blush and not a shadow.
Everything in this palette is so pigmented! The only thing that doesn't really show up well in my swatch is the last lip color and that is because it is very sheer. My favorite thing about this palette is that it could be easily used to create one look. I will be solely using it in an upcoming tutorial, just because I love it like that, lol.
Packaging: The Palette comes in a glossy black casing and has a total of 7 products in it.
Application: Everything in this palette applies and blends very well.

If you missed my first Fabulosity haul/mini review, CLICK HERE. Like I mentioned in that post, I was sent a few products from the company a while ago and they included two of their Mega matte lipsticks in Magenta Pop (MM1) and Persimmon (MM3).

Persimmon - Coral orange color
Magenta Pop - Pink with blue undertones
Packaging: They come in a matte black tube and they both have transparent plastic caps.
Application: These lipsticks are very matte and go on a bit sheer in my opinion. It takes quite a few swipes to get decent coverage and I believe that it has a lot to do with the formula. It's a bit too thick and doesn't really warm up once it comes in contact with the skin. All in all, I believe that they are OK I guess for the price you pay for them.
Finish: They both have a matte finish
