I'm on a roll with Nigerian brands and let me tell you guys, it is such a good thing. I've made it my business to try as many of them as I can. It would be absolutely perfect if we as Nigerians begin to support the effort that is put into most of our brands.
Rosebud is a Nigerian brand that has been around for a while. They have an online store that stocks mostly skin care products by the Angel Mirano brand and they also carry cosmetics and lingerie. Their products are mostly from the U.S and come nicely packaged.

I received the Rosebud All Natural Goat Milk complexion soap  in spicy apple with a few other products a while back. As I type this post, this soap has finished and I'm definitely repurchasing it. It is made of natural ingredients just like our local black soaps. It smells absolutely amazing! and like  I've  mentioned in previous posts, I'm not good at describing scents but the apple stands out once you sniff. It is moisturizing and lathers so well! it rinses well too, there nothing more annoying than that icky feeling that deeply moisturizing soaps leave.
It is a natural soap and like most natural soaps, it does not like places that are too hot or humid. If you decide to get this, please make sure that you try as much as possible to store it in a cool dry place, even if it means storing it by your bathroom window, it needs air. If not it would literally begin to melt.

Packaging: It does not come in a pack or wrap, it comes completely naked, lol don't mind me. It has  a sticker/label that goes round it and it comes in a transparent pouch.

Fabulosity cosmetics is a relatively new Nigerian makeup brand. The brand was launched early this year I believe and prior to being contacted by them, I had heard nothing of the brand. I was sent a few of their lip glosses,  two lipsticks and a mascara. I'll be talking about their glosses in this post.
I was sent 5 lip glosses in Allure, Juicy, Haute, Chic and Posh.
Posh - Gorgeous light brown nude.
Allure - Medium mauve shade. I absolutely love this color. It looks amazing when applied over some of my nude lipsticks but I absolutely love wearing it alone. Very subtle and segzy! lol
Juicy - Coral with bits of shimmer. This looks like the name it was given in my opinion. It is the only one in the entire bunch that has shimmer in it.
Chic - Light Pink color
Haute - Dark pink with blue undertones. This is literally the most pigmented of the lot and my absolute favorite.

Packaging: They come in a hard plastic tube with a black screw type cover and a standard doe foot applicator. They look similar to the mac lip glass tubes but they are a bit taller and contain more product. With each tube, you get about 5.7g of product.

Application: Application was pretty easy. The glosses are thick, not in the waxy non moisturizing way but in a good way, if that makes any sense. They smell amazing, just like bubble gum. They stay put as long as you don't eat or drink, if you have to do any of the two just know you will have to reapply or touchup. They don't flake so you don't really have anything to worry about.

The Natural Nigerian brand was founded by the author of NaturalNigerian.com. The brand is proudly Nigerian and carters mostly to the hair care needs of Naturalistas. Their online store is like a hair care junky's dream, they stock everything from oils to butters to clays to seeds to tools.

I was sent the Natural Nigerian Moisture & Shine Detangling Leave-In Conditioner a while back and I've been using it religiously. This leave in conditioner makes me so happy eh, you guys can't even begin to imagine. If I picked up this conditioner from a shelf in a beauty supply store without reading the details on it, I would never have thought that It was from a Nigerian brand. It moisturizes so well and doesn't feel greasy, It is made with mostly natural ingredients and is suitable for Kinky, Curly and Straight hair. It smells amazing! I'm not very good at describing scents but I think it smells so fresh. You guys know that I love good packaging and this gets an A+ in my books. I know that it looks pretty basic in the pictures above but believe me guys it doesn't feel like cheap plastic. The formula is not too thick or watery so it is pretty easy to work into the hair. I'm still trying out some of the other Natural Nigerian products that I received but In terms of quality and presentation, they've been really impressive.

I was very excited when I received this palette mainly because it is my first wet n wild palette ever. I have a couple of  their lipsticks and I absolutely love them. I've always wanted one of their palettes and I remember almost buying the Vanity palette sometime last year and then dropping it because I wasn't with enough cash.

Poster Child consists of eight shades, coordinated and stamped with where you should put them on your eye. The palette comprises of both matte and satin colors. The left side is made up of mostly pastel pinks and a black definer color while the right side is made up of a yellow browbone color and different shades of blue. The two brow bone and definer colors are matte while the two crease and lid colors have a satin finish.
The palette is ok in my opinion, some of the colors especially the ones on the left side apply a bit chalky. In the last picture, they were all swatched without a primer so the colors are decent for the price you pay for them.

Product: Wet n wild coloricon Palette in poster child
Price: I received this as a gift. It sually sells for about $4.99

If you guys can remember, I promised to give the Eos lip balm another try. A lot of you have asked if I'm sure I didn't get a bad one but a friend of mine has the exact same flavour and it smells the same biko, very synthetic and horrible.
Well I purchased another one the day  I published this review and it is safe to say that this one is reviewable, lol.

This time, I settled for sweet mint. I'm not a big fan of minty things when it comes to lip products but it was either this or strawberry and I don't like anything strawberry (story for another day) so I decided to go with this. It tastes and smells like spear mint which is the only good type of mint in my opinion. If it was pepper mint eh, we would be back to square one!
I've been using this constantly for over 4 weeks now and it is just OK. I honestly don't  get what the hype is about. I've used better lip balms! and they didn't even cost half the price I paid for this one. It feels waxy when you first apply it but it does moisturize. It is not as hydrating as the Maybelline baby lips in anyway, my Vaseline Intensive lip therapy which costs me about N600 even does a better job. I also noticed that my lips started getting a lot drier so as I type, I no longer use it. It tastes just like spear mint candy and leaves a tingly sensation on the lips. One of my favorite things about it is the packaging, I love how cute and round it is.

Product: Eos Lip Balm in Sweet mint
Price: N1,500
Purchased from: Red wrappings, Enugu.

I received a massive sleek goody bag back in February, during social media week. My bag was handed to me by Yemisi of Misykona and she ran away before I could even say thank you. The bag was huge! It contained about two or three products form Sleek cosmetics but every other thing in it was from sleek studio Nigeria.
Oya to clear up any confusion, Sleek studio Nigeria also know as S.Studio is the official distributor of sleek products in Nigeria. I first saw some of their skin care products about two years ago and it took me a little research to realize that they were not from the International sleek brand. Sleek studio Nigeria was founded by the Ugochukwu sisters who are the managing directors of Sleek cosmetics in Nigeria.
The sleek studio brand is currently only available locally. I don't think that you can purchase them anywhere outside the country. Like I mentioned earlier, the bag contained quite a few things but I will be talking about the recently released lip stains in this post.
They currently come in 6 shades and they are Coined, Revolution, Naivety, Siren, Forbidden and Duke.
Coined - Sheer rose gold with lots of shimmer. I honestly don't see myself wearing this often. Shimmer and matte shouldn't see eye to eye in my opinion.
Revolution  - Bright Orange. This is one of my favorites in terms of application. It applied smoothly and didn't leave streaks. It is also one of the very opaque ones in the bunch.
Naivety - Bright pink with blue undertones. Gorgeous gorgeous color. Application was a bit difficult, it kept leaving streaks.
Siren - Bright orange based red. Applied like Naivety. Its is not as opaque as some of the other colors but it is gorgeous all the same.
Forbidden - Dark brick red. I noticed that a lot of bloggers were gushing about this color and  I realized why immediately after one swipe. This is a gorgeous gorgeous red and I can see me wearing it to a lot of places, even to sleep, lol. It is hands down the easiest to apply in the whole bunch.
Duke - Very dark purple. My little sister walked into the room while I had this on and she was like Hei!! lmao. This is a gorgeous dark purple. Perfect for those who like it vampy which I do sometimes. It was a bit difficult to apply though, it applied just like Naivety and Siren.

Packaging: They all have a little mirror by the side which I think comes in handy for touch ups. There is also a little button on the top of each wand which activates an in built LED light once you press it down. The lights will probably come in handy when you are in a club or when Nepa takes the light.
Application: Thou shalt not go near any of these lip stains without exfoliating and moisturizing the lips. They are semi liquid and matte so they will sink into any crack or dry patch you give them. These are also not beginner friendly in my opinion, a very steady hand is required for most of the colors and trust me most beginners don't have that. If someone gave me any of these lip colors when I was starting out with makeup, I will probably just cry over my clumsiness and then hide them somewhere.
Finish: These babies are super matte! I haven't tried using a gloss over any of them but I have a feeling that it might not go well.

Favorites: Revolution, Forbidden and Duke.

Price: N1,550

Candy Locks is a hair company  that sells virgin hair in different textures. They contacted me last year to help them do a review and I was sent 4 bundles of their Malaysian body wave in lengths 16 and 18. I had the hair on for slightly over a month and I loved it. The company is based in Ghana but they also ship internationally.

They are currently working on their website so to place an order, you will have to do one of the three.

I've been eyeing the Gorillapod focus for a very long time. I wanted it even before I started making youtube videos but I didn't know how to get my hands on it. I settled for the standard tripod but I've always had a problem with mine because even at its lowest height, it was still too tall for my filming setup. I decided to buy a smaller tripod at the beginning of the year. I checked game which is a Godsend when it comes to things like this but the one here in Enugu didn't have anything smaller than what I already owned so I went back to mooning.
After searching for table top tripods on amazon I decided to just close my eyes and get the Gorillapod focus. I kept telling myself that it will be worth the price I was paying for it and in all honesty, it has been.
Avidmax was the second seller that I tried purchasing the Gorillapod from and I'm glad I used them. I realized as I was about to check out that they offered expedited shipping to Nigeria so I sent them a message asking which courier service they use for express international shipping and they replied the next day saying that they used Fedex so I went on ahead and placed my order.

SHIPPING
My order got to me within 4 days. Shipping cost me about $42.90.

I fell in love with this palette even before I touched it. I remember opening it several times after I received it just to stare at it. My friend Nelo called me one day, gushing about one palette that she had just picked at Sephora. I was just listening to her gist, adding eh and eziokwu? where needed but in all honesty I didn't think I needed extra shadows. She was like Chidimma, you seriously need to see this palette, I was like I'm sure I need to see it and then she goes on to say I bought you one sef, you will love it! Na so I take wake up for the conversation! Free makeup? Are you serious? thanks darling, how won't it be amazing.

I managed to get my hands on it a few days after she came back and the first thing that I said after I opened it was wow. This palette is one if the most beautiful things that I've seen in a long time! I already own a Sephora palette which I love so I knew even before seeing this one that it was going to be good, I just didn't expect it to be this good. This palette is gorgeous. It has a total of 70 shadows, some matte, some satin and some shimmer shades. They are all very pigmented! My favorites are the shimmer shades, I honestly don't own anything that look and apply like they do. The shimmer shades look and feel like pressed pigment with a lots of  glitter so there is usually a little fall out during application.
I also love the packaging, It looks like a well bound book! It is also very light weight and easy to hold while you are working with it.

The color Anthology Palette is one of those Palettes that floods you with ideas once you look at it.

Product: Sephora Color Anthology palette
Price: $20 (It was on sale). I received this as a gift.
Purchased from: Sephora, U.S.A.
