I went to Casabella the other day to pick up another jar of deep conditioning cream and just as I was about to leave, I saw a bunch of nail polish sets on display. They were all from China glaze so I went to look (as if that explains anything). They mostly all had at least one nail polish with glitter in it and such happy names, that immediately told me that they were all part of a christmas collection.  It took a little googling to realize that the collection wasn't  even new. Jingle all the way is part of a 2012 China glaze holiday collection.

I searched for the House of Tara eyeshadow quad in set - 03 for the longest time. I would walk into Casabella almost every time it was in the Vicinity asking for it and the reply I would always get was sorry, we don't have it or sorry it just finished but we have the other ones and when I say let me see, they always show me this one, always. I'm sure that a lot of you are thinking why didn't she just go to a house of Tara store but like I've mentioned a million times on this blog I do not live in lagos anymore and House of Tara does not have a stand alone store here in Enugu.

I got contacted a while ago by Anne of the the Anne Elise hair company.
Prior to being contacted by them I had heard quite a few things about the brand. I read Ez of  Beauty in Lagos's review a while back  and she had a lot of positive things to say about them so I was excited to try out whatever they sent me.

I'm sure that most you don't know this but most big online merchants have store fronts on Amazon. A lot of them sell as third party sellers on Amazon.com and there is no difference in their prices or shipping costs. In most cases, if an item is out of stock on the brand website, then it most likely out of stock on their Amazon store as well. Brands like sigma, Acne.org, Coastal scents, BH cosmetics, etc all sell and ship through Amazon. A few weeks after putting up this post,  I tried ordering again from beautyjoint.com and I was not really shocked when I realized that they no longer gave people who were placing orders from Nigeria the option of standard delivery. The problem with most international orders shipped for standard delivery without tracking is that when it gets missing, nobody can really tell where it is  because there was nothing tracking it's progress. So I completely understand why they did what they did, especially with the amount of missing parcel complaints that they were getting from Nigerians. The only shipping option that they now offer people ordering from Nigeria is expedited shipping and that is way too expensive for Chidimma biko. I just can't get myself to pay more for shipping than I'm paying for the actual items in my cart.
