If you follow me on Instagram, you'll probably know that I put up a picture of these goodies a while back.
The lipsticks all have a finish similar to mac's amplified finish which isn't shiny or super matte. They have amazing color pay off and apply so well. The glosses also apply well and like I've mentioned in previous posts, they do not flake. Kayge is one of my favorite Nigerian brands and I honestly can't wait till they start making more that just Lip products.
They recently changed their packaging and I love love love how funky it looks.

"I have seen it" said John, "and I tell you that he is the Son of God." John 1:34
I received these products from the lovely Ify of Ajali natural hand made cosmetics. Before she contacted me, I already had plans of getting my hands on the body butter soufflé, this decision was made after reading a couple of reviews online.
I've had these products for a while and you guys can tell from the pictures that I've done serious damage, especially to the body soufflé . I'm going to run out by the end of next week and I'm definitely repurchasing.
AJALI:
Ajali creates 100% natural handmade cosmetics using ingredients indigenous to West Africa such as unrefined shea and cocoa butter, virgin coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil and aloe vera gel. They are a proudly Nigerian company set up to promote local industry and create awareness for living a healthy life.
I was sent products from the Radiant glow line so I'm just going to get right into it.
BUTTER BODY SOUFFLÉ
WHAT AJALI SAYS :
This moisturiser is made with pure whipped Shea and cocoa butter infused with organic essential oils. It melts instantly onto your skin for a smooth and easy finish. Perfect for everyday use as a body or hair moisturiser to rejuvenate skin cells, seal in moisture and even provides mild sun protection!
WHAT I THINK:
Ehm I think I'm addicted to this stuff. I have dry skin and this is baby has really impressed me. The skin on my face is very oily but everything from my neck down is dry. It moisturises so well!. I always buy body lotions that have moisturising or hydrating clearly written on them but most of the time they still don't do that much especially when it comes to my elbows, knees and feet. These three areas can turn white before you say Jack Robinson.
Like it says in the product description, it literally melts before you are done rubbing your palms together. I love the fact that it feels like warm oil while I'm working it into the skin. If you have oily skin, I highly recommend that you keep this away from your face because of how moisturising it is.
It literally smells like Vicks lemon plus!!! some people might not like this but me I don't mind. It makes me feel edible :D.
I believe that this is one of the best investments that you can make this coming harmattan o. I promise that when you are done using this, there shall be no whiteness/dryness whatsoever.
RAW SUGAR POLISH
WHAT AJALI SAYS:
This gentle scrub is suitable for use all over your face and body. Made from raw brown sugar and organic essential oils. It's perfect for everyday skin buffing. Suitable for sensitive skin.
WHAT I THINK:
From the pictures above, you guys can tell that I haven't used this as much as I've used the body soufflé. I doesn't mean that it's not good, it quite simply means that I'm not a scrub person. My face is sensitive to a lot of scrubs, so I tend to exfoliate with AHAs or scrubs that don't have a lot of grit. I've used this on my body on days that I've had time because to me eh bathing is serious business. I do not waste any time whatsoever in the bathroom. I've used this mostly at night and every time that I do, I promise myself that I will use it again tomorrow because of how good my skin feels afterwards but from the last picture, you guys can obviously tell that I have failed myself, smh.
This scrub leaves your body feeling so soft and pampered, almost like you've applied something very moisturising on your entire body!! It is infused with essential oils so you don't feel raw or squeaky when you are done using it.
It has a sweet lemony scent as well and looks so good if you ask me. There is something about the colour and the way that it sparkles.

So maybelline is finally here in Naija, yippee!!
I'm sure everyone knows maybelline naa, they are notorious for their very good inexpensive mascaras. If you still do not know them, google is your best friend o.
The brand was officially launched in Lagos late last month with an event that had mostly people in the entertainment and beauty industry in attendance. We were basically introduced to the brand and after that, there was a lot of mingling.
I was able to speak to someone on the Maybelline team before I left and she shed light on a few things;
1) They are releasing just the colossal volum' express mascara and the colossal Kajal eyeliner, every other thing will be gradually introduced to the Nigerian market with time.
To say that I disappointed when I heard this is an understatement !! I love love love their colour tattoos and I was already making plans to get my hands on them ASAP! but oh well..
2) There will be no stand alone store.
I was actually very pleased with this bit of information because it means that their products are going to be available in Enugu without too much hassle. Most brands that have lauched themselves on the Nigerian soil actuallly do not have stand alone stores outside the country. Take sleek for example. Sleek is actually a UK brand and their products are mostly only available in Superdrug and on their website. Same thing with Maybelline, Maybelline is literally a drug store brand. Their products are usually available in Boots and supredrug in the UK. In the US, Maybelline is also mostly available in drugstores. So I'm happy getting their products through stores like casabella or even health plus. If they start opening stores eh, Enugu might see one in 5 years time.
We all left the event with goody bags so I will mainly be talking about the content of my bag in this post.
I received the Colossal volum' express mascara, one colossal kajal eyeliner and one maybelline baby lips.
Maybelline Volum' Express Mascara - This to me is an ok mascara. like I mentioned in a previous post, I have very unruly lashes so most mascaras don't work for me. I'm sure this would work great for most people but the wand was just not made for me.
Maybelline Colossal kajal Eyeliner - This is amazing. It reminds me of the mac feline eye kohl. It is so creamy and goes on smoothly. This liner is so black, I don't think that the last picture did it any justice.
I use this mostly on my waterline and it doesn't irritate my eyes. It lasts all day and it also doesn't smudge so it is definitely a winner. Its is a retractable liner so you don't have to stress yourself with sharpening.
Maybelline Baby lips in Quenched - This is honestly one of the best lip balms that I've ever used. It hydrates so well!! I love the fact that it is not waxy. My lips feel so soft after application and it also smells amazing.
XOXO,

I'm sure we all know about House of Tara. They've been around for ages (literally).
If you are not familiar with the brand, House of tara is an indigenous make up brand that offers a wide range of makeup and skin care products here in Nigeria. They recently changed their packaging and also introduced a couple of new products. Their packaging is black now and I absolutely love it.
I was sent a couple of products early last month to use and possibly review. Some of the products that I was sent have been around for ages and a couple of them are from their new collection.
I'm just going to get right into it:
HOUSE OF TARA EYESHADOW TRIO IN OSENKEN - I have the shadow trio in Uyayi so I honestly wasn't expecting anything different in terms of pigmentation. This little guy surprised me! When I first swatched it, I wasn't really impressed. I had to swipe some of the colours in it at least three times before I could come up with the amount of colour that I wanted. It took me a while to realise that the problem was from what I was doing and not not the shadow itself. I used the dark purple colour in in an upcoming tutorial and completely fell in love. The shadows didn't show up so well when I swatched them because I was using my fingers. Brushes on the other hand, any type of non synthetic makeup brush loves this stuff. They pick the colours up so nicely, you ma self will even be shocked, lol.
HOUSE OF TARA BLUSH IN AMAYRA - This is a gorgeous coral red blush. Its is super super pigmented so a little goes a long way. It reminds me of sleek's blush in scandalous but the two shades are slightly different. With this, all you need to do is dab your blush brush once into the colour and you are good to go. There shall be no swirling!! if you swirl your blush brush in this colour before applying it on your cheeks, you are on your own!
HOUSE OF TARA BRONZER IN MEDUIM - This is a gorgeous gold highlighter, looks lovely when applied lightly on the apple of the cheeks.
HOUSE OF TARA HIGH SHINE LIP STAIN IN NANDI - This is one of my favourites!!. It is a gorgeous fuchsia pink with shimmer. It looks and applies like a gloss but it is more pigmented than any gloss I've ever used. It applies evenly and that makes it a dream to work with.
HOUSE OF TARA MATTE LIP COLOUR IN JEMILA - This I absolutely love!!. I won't be speaking too much grammar where this lipstick is concerned so I calmly suggest that you try out at least one matte lip colour where ever you see Tara products on display. Jemila is a gorgeous red colour. I used it in my last makeup tutorial but with a darker lip pencil.
HOUSE OF TARA EYEBROW PENCIL IN BROWN - I'm not gonna lie, I haven't really used this product and this is because It is way darker than any eyebrow pencil that I own. If you have used this, feel from to leave a comment down below.
HOUSE OF TARA EYESHADOW PRIMER - I first tried this out when I was playing around with my friend's makeup. I was really impressed so I made a mental note to buy it whenever I could. I wanted to buy it at the last Lagos makeup fair but it was sold out by the time I got to the House of Tara stand. It feels waxy and a little bit oily in the pan but when applied, It feels perfect. Its is slightly sticky and this helps shadow adhere to it very well.
Has anyone tried anything from House of Tara?
LIP GLOSSES
LIPSTICKS
LIP STAINS
LIP PENCILS
I recieved theses babies about a month ago from the CEO of kayge cosmetics. I've played around with almost everything here and I'm going to give you guys my honest opinion.
I was very excited when I received these because I already loved the only Kayge product that I own.
If you missed my first post on Kayge , Kayge cosmetics is an indigenous make up brand that currently specialises in lip products.
WHAT I THINK:
I've been using these products a ALOT lately and I absolutely believe that the are worth giving a try
THE GLOSSES apply evenly and have amazing colour pay off. They do not flake!! I mentioned this in my last review and I'm saying it again. They still look nice a couple of hours after application.
THE LIPSTICKS all have a little sheen to them. They are not matte but that doesn't mean that they are glossy or anything. They are very moisturising so you do not have bother or worry about your lips looking dry. They are very pigmented so you don't need a lot of layers to make the colours appear true.
THE LIP STAINS are very similar to the sleek pout polish. I was actually blown away with the colour pay off, I expected them to be very sheer but they were not. They are very very moisturising and are perfect for days you don't want to do too much. A little dab here and there and you are good to go. They feel just like lip balm .
THE LIP PENCILS are very soft and creamy, they don't feel like most lip pencils that I own. I had hard time sharpening them at first because they kept breaking off but it took me a while to realise that all I had to do was go easy on the sharpening. They feel more like lip crayons to me and I believe that they could be easily worn alone without problem.
XOXO,
I honestly didn't know anything about this brand till I saw them at the lagos makeup fair. Like I said in a previous post, the packaging was what drew me in. I loved how sleek their products looked and how organised their section was.
Kayge cosmetcs is a Nigerian makeup line that currently specialises on lip products. The line consists of lipsticks, lip stains, lip liners and lip glosses.
I went to the makeup fair with my friend and for some reason, we both kept walking back to their stand to swatch the products that they had on display. At the end of the day, we both settled for the shade blush. I decided on this colour because I felt that it would look good on days that I didn't want my lips looking too neutral or too bright and I also wanted to use it to tone down some of my neutral or pale pink lipsticks that were way too bright.
This lipgloss is a gorgeous coral colour and has an amazing colour payoff. It applies evenly and holds up pretty well. It also doesn't flake which I think is very very Important when it comes to glosses because I'm sure that we can all agree that there is nothing more annoying than a gloss that flakes on you for no good reason.

XOXO,
I discovered Décolleté fashion lounge after I read this post by Ez of beauty in lagos. I was in serious need of good Midi rings at the time and the post simply came in handy. I sent them an email requesting for a catalogue and they replied promptly.
After placing my order, I was sent a GTB account number to pay into and once my payment was received I was told that my order was going to get to me within 7 - 10 working days.
There was a little misunderstanding concerning my house address though so my order got to Enugu later than I expected. With that said, I absolutely love these rings. They got to me in very good condition and they fit perfectly.
The parcel came with a free compact mirror, a mini kit kat and a mini twix (which I think was very nice of them) the mirror has found its home in my hand bag, lol. It also came with a jewellery care card which provides ample information on how to take care of your jewellery.
Price (from top to bottom):
1st ring: N2,000
2nd ring: N2,500
3rd ring: N2,000

I am soooooooooooooooo sorry!. My story is very long and I'm absolutely sure that most of you don't want hear it.
Moving from one state to another one especially when you have semi permanent things tying you down is not easy. Yes o, I finally moved back home so for the meantime, I no longer live in lagos. I got to Enugu and realised that my Internet Service provider acts drunk here so my wahala automatically increased. I'm finally settled thank God, so posting is going to be regular from now onwards, more than regular sef. I have so much to show you guys so I'll be updating daily.
I went for the 2nd Lagos Makeup fair last month and I've been dying to share with you guys. It was so much fun believe me, my friend Fejiro can attest to that. The fair was a makeup lover's heaven!! There were tons of vendors . From the ones most of us are familiar with to the ones I knew nothing about, there was also entertainment and dare I say cake!!! the whole thing was just amazing. I met most of the people that I planned to meet, at a point I'd seen everyone except sisi yemmie so I made it my business to hunt her down, lol.
I didn't go for last year's event but this one was very organised! I was really really Impressed.
The last picture shows my very tiny haul. I try as much as possible to control myself when I have make up staring at me everywhere I turn so I think I did a pretty good job. I bought the Maybelline falsies volume express mascara from My Makeup Ng, a lip gloss from Kayge cosmetics in the shade blush ( their packaging was super cute and I'm a sucker for good packaging so I couldn't pass them up) and two wet n wild lipsticks from Gifty's daughter. The lovely Funke of Gifty's daughter ( I mumuishly did not take a picture with her, in short I didn't take pictures with a couple of people because I was busy walking up and down) gave me the shadow shields for free, I was shocked believe me. I wanted to give her a speech on how grateful I was but I didn't know where to start so I just respected myself and said thank you. I've seen the shadow shields a couple of times, I've seen people use it but every time I wanted to buy it, the price chased me away with a stick, the reasonable part of my brain just goes you can just use tape so why waste money? *sigh*.
I will definitely follow up with reviews so you guys should please keep checking.
XOXO,
