I'm going to start this post by saying that my sisters made me buy this lip color. Like I mentioned in the Colouredraine haul post that I put up a few days ago, I'd wanted to buy liquid lipsticks and I wanted them all from one brand. I had already placed my order on the Colourdraine website when I saw this lipstick on their lips and there was no way in hell I wasn't getting it. They were terrorizing me with on snapchat.
Kat von d describes Echo as a satin navy blue. It sells for $20 and comes with a doe foot applicator. It has a very liquid consistency, liquid but not runny, so its not as liquid as my Jionney liquid lipstick for example.
It applies evenly and layers so well! It was so easy for me to apply a second layer to cover up all the patches that I had from the first layer. This essentially makes it really easy to achieve very opaque coverage. My favorite thing about this liquid lipstick however is the finish. It dries matte alright, but not to that hard matte finish that I've gotten with literally every matte liquid lipstick that I own. It is more forgiving on the lips and not too drying and my lips frankly remind me of velvet every time that I have it on. You can get five to six hours of wear, with light eating and drinking and with the finish that it has, reapplication is not a chore. This is the only liquid lipstick that I can actually reapply without hassle.
Lastly, it comes off easily which was a bit surprising, you can take it off quickly with just a makeup removing wipe. The Kat Von D everlasting liquid lipstick in echo made me realize that liquid lipsticks don't necessarily need to be tough to take off in order to prove that they are long lasting.
