Colour Pop Cosmetics Haul + Review

At this stage, I feel like everyone, EVERYONE, either has something from color pop or has serious intentions to buy something from them. I thought I could ignore them, I honestly thought I could but then their products kept popping up on every social media feed imaginable, I had to give them a try.

I bought nine of their super shock eyeshadows and two lip products. The eyeshadows! oh my goodness! how I love these things. They have a formula that is best described as a mix between powder and cream, they feel boderline elastic! Their texture is identical to that of the Mac cosmetics electric cool eyeshadows, I have a serious suspicion that they are all made in the same place, lol. They even have identical packaging, but in different colors. They are so so pigmented and work well with either the fingers or makeup brushes.

The texture of the super shock eyeshadows make them almost fall out proof, almost. With the matte shadows there are no fall outs whatsoever, however when using the  shimmer shadows, especially those of them that have lots of glitter in them, you will most likely get fall outs. These eyeshadows are very inexpensive, compared to the Mac electric cool eyeshadows. They sell for $5 each while the electric cool shadows sell for a whooping £14 each.

SHADES AND FINISH ACCORDING TO COLOUR POP:

Krinkle: A smoky blue loaded with silver and gold glitter in a metallic finish.
Rex: Black drenched with multiple shades of blue glitter
Mittens: A deep warm brown with a red violet undertone leaving a matte finish
Tassel: Bright true white with multi- dimensional highly reflective glitter
Bandit: Warm rusty brown with matter finish
Do-a-deer: Blackened violet in a Matte Finish
Nillionaire: Warm bronze with tons of gold and multi coloured glitter in a Metallic finish
Rumer has it - Intoxicate: Warm caramel brown with matte finish (discontinued)
To-a-T: mid-tone warm brown in a Matte Finish

After trying out everything that I purchased from color pop, I was a bit bummed that I purchased just two lip products. I bought one Lippe pencil in pitch (very dark blackish brown) and a Lippie stix in Tootsi, which according to Colour pop is a cool toned grey beige. The lippie stix has a finish that is comparable to Mac's amplified finish, it's not matte as the brand claims. The  lippie pencil is very pigmented and creamy and  applies so smoothly. They both sold for $5 each and are amazing, end of story.

NB: Colour Pop only offers delivery to people within the United States. My sister was in the US this summer so I placed my order and had it delivered to her. Products were purchased  at - www.colourpop.com

  7. I still haven't tried anything from CP yet, I keep saying I will, but I'm just not a huge ordering online person so I never do lol. I would love to try their lip products, though, especially their darker colors. I've heard good things about their matte lipsticks too!

  15. I don't know why I wasn't so impressed by the eyeshadows I got. Just seeing this post makes me want to play around with them some more though. I have been eyeing the liquid lipsticks for the longest time, but I need to be patient and wait for someone coming from "overseas"
