I only wanted one item from the coloredraine brand, and it was their matte lip paint in Raine fever. It reminded me so much of the sleek flash a pout lip paint in duke. I ended up adding three additional items to my cart, they have the most amazing lip swatches on their website.
I had a few liquid lipsticks on my wish list, way before I finalized my purchase with colouredraine however, I wanted to buy everything from one brand. It came down to choosing between Anastasia Beverly Hills and Colouredraine and I decided to go with Colouredraine since they had more positive reviews. I purchased 2am (black), Suite raine (Purple with blue undertone), Raine fever (Deep purple) and Marshmallow (Greyish taupe) back in August.
They come in a very sleek tube, paired with a doe foot applicator. They have a light mousse like consistency, so they are not as liquid as some of the other liquid lip colors that I own. On first swatch, they all appear very pigmented however as can be seen from the pictures in this post, they all don't apply evenly. For some weird reason, I get more even application from the brighter colors than I do with the darker colors. Marshmallow and Suite raine both apply evenly but 2am and Raine fever are both a bit of a pain. 2am is not as bad as Raine fever though, and its all a bit sad because Raine fever is actually my favourite shade in the entire bunch. Its not like you can't get opaque coverage with these two lip colors, its just that with matte lip colors, the more you apply, the more they settle into the lines on your lips, so by the time you have a solid colour on you lips, you also have to deal with lips that look very wrinkly.
All in all, these lip colors all have good staying power, they don't feather neither do they come off easily. This does not mean that I will recommend that you wear them on occasions where you will be doing any type of heavy eating or drinking. I generally do not recommend matte liquid lipsticks for those type of occasions, because they will most definitely chip, starting from the inner parts of your lips. They sold for $16.50 each when I bought them in August but they currently sell for $17 each on the Coloured Raine website.
