I decided after this post to go on ahead and try some more products from Illamasqua. Their lipstick in Kontrol is still one of my favorite things ever so I purchased two more lipsticks from their matte lipstick line. 
Salacious - Raspberry Red. The color is at bit tricky and can look quite pink sometimes. It can be manipulated easily depending on what you line it with. 
Shard - Medium Plum. When applied, it does not look as dark as it appears on the tube. It is not as opaque as my other two lipsticks but it is perfect for days that you don't want something too neutral or too dark.

They have a matte finish that is not drying and they both apply smoothly. They also last longer than your average lipsticks and smell just like most Mac lipsticks.
