Estee Lauder Double wear

The Estee Lauder Double wear foundation has been on my to try list for years. I actually almost bought it back in 2012 but I changed my mind last minute and went with the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra. Well fast forward to here and now, my Teint Idole Ultra decided a few months ago to break without my permission and just as I was thinking of how to import it (repurchase it) because I  was in Naija at the time, I came across a video by Nneka of Neks2u on youtube comparing the two foundations and it kind of sealed the deal for me.
This foundation is currently among my top 3 favorite foundations of all time! If you have been reading this blog for a while, it shouldn't come as news that I have very oily skin so I mostly put conscious effort into making most foundations work. I normally have to do some serious priming to keep the oil at bay but with this I can do with the most basic oil free primer!

It LASTS and the funny thing is that it isn't even a mattfying foundation! It has a semi matte finish and is very build able. It also holds up incredibly well in humidity so It is perfect for our Naija weather. I remember sweating the first day that I wore this foundation out, I did a lot of walking and even with that there was no running, or creasing, my face still looked good. In short if you'd seen me 10 minutes after I had stopped sweating you would not believe that I had done anything that warranted sweating.

If you are looking to try a new foundation please kindly consider the double wear, I don't think you will regret it.

    1. I think that Selfridges does, I am not sure. I don't really any know any other stores and even if there were, shipping would probably be expensive because perfumes are liquid.

  9. Welcome back. Hope you are good. I was also tempted to try this cos of it's staying power according to reviews but I've been put off by some reviews about it being quite heavy and cakey. Glad it worked for you though.

  14. Hiya. I absolutely look forward to reading your reviews but have to disagree with this one. If you live in Nigeria you may want to skip this foundation. It gets extremely cakey and heavy in our weather.

    1. Honey you are perfectly correct, I saw it at the Abuja Makeup fair in 2014, tested and changed my mind. It's a big NO for me.
