Kiko Lasting Gel eyeliner

I made up my mind to get this about 2 months ago, shortly after watching my girl Nek2u's makeup haul video on youtube. She was positively excited about this product. The thing I found the most interesting was the way she described the consistency of the liner. I decided immediately after watching her video to give it a try because I was tired of gel liners that kept drying up for no good reason.
The Kiko gel liner is like nothing I've seen or tried before. It is literally a hybrid between gel and liquid liner. Looking at it for the first time, I remember thinking, which kin runny oily mess be this? but that was the last negative thought that was directed towards this bad boy. This liner isn't solid at all nor is it liquid. It has a softly whipped consistency that looks a bit oily but trust me, it does not in any way feel oily. It glides on smoothly and works well with any good liner brush. It also applies way blacker than it looks in the jar and dries absolutely matte. Like when I say matte, I mean MATTE. When it dries eh, I'm sorry for you if you in any way decide to go near it with something that is not oil based or specialized for taking off makeup, you will sleep there.
I haven't used this for a long time but I can't imagine it ever drying up in the jar because of its consistency. I've read a couple of reviews by people who own it and a few of them clearly stated that it does not dry up so I'll update this post if it ever does.

Product: Kiko long lasting gel eyeliner
Price: £8.90  (about N2,350)
Purchased from: Kiko store, London

  6. I don't get why you approve people's comments on your blog but never reply them. I mean, it's obvious you read them. Many people as questions and yet you never reply even one. They ask you with the belief that you know better than them but yet you choose to ignore. I'm not expecting you to post this, I just want you to know that ignoring people the way you do just isn't nice!

    1. @Anonymous I agree with you. Bloggers are very weird. Especially those that have a pretty wide audience. They put up a post, and when you ask questions or make comments you never get any form of acknowledgement. That is why I stopped following some bloggers. There are some fashion bloggers who have over 1 million views are are big time who reply to their readers. Disappointed.

  7. Hello,
As unfantastic as this may sound, most of the questions that I get here are questions that I don’t have answers to or even questions that I'm working on answering. I've replied comments sometimes a month after they were posted because I was busy looking for an answer to them. 85% of the questions that I usually get are on where an item can be purchased in states or places that I don't live in and I've mentioned several times on this blog that I live in Enugu. 10% ask me questions that I've already answered within the post which clearly shows that they didn't read the write up I provided. I used to go on ahead and answer in the past but I just stopped because it wasn't right. The remaining 5% ask me questions that are completely unrelated to a post, some of them personal and on topics that I'm not comfortable talking about here and I don't answer them because I don't want to encourage people to keep doing so. I have an email address clearly stated on the contact me section of this blog and I always reply my mails. I get tons of questions all the time even on social media and I try to answer as much of them as so I can't guaranty that I will reply my mails immediately but I always try to within a week, Unless I have something major going on. There are also those questions that I don't answer like people asking me to tell them their foundations shades in a particular brand or telling me to list every single thing (including brand) that they will use to build up a professional makeup kit (that is almost impossible). Foundation shades are very tricky so its either you get yourself matched or do an online research and comparison. So that it is it really, if you have a question, send me an email.

  8. You're so patient with that response.
Anyway, this sounds like the answer to many prayers. I remember buying the M.A.C fluid like some 5yrs ago only for the thing to dry up before i even used it well. Since then i've stuck to simple liquid liner. Now tempted by this your post to give this a try.
